Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When?
Your packet will contain a Daily Schedule.

Who’s who?
Staff, faculty and nurse on duty will have name tags on neck cords. Vicki, Tim and Michele are coordinators, Wendy is the nurse on duty. You may reach a coordinator at 541-232-3653 if you have a need.

Where do I go? Park in parking lot N.
The performance hall is Building 6. A registration desk and information center will be setup at the Blue Door Theatre entryway (ground floor). Registration and all classrooms are on the ground floor of the music building, accessible from the north parking lot. Look for the signs directing you to the stage door.

What do I do?
Your personal schedule will list room numbers. Water fountains, restrooms are along hallways. Wendy is our nurse and volunteer on duty and will be either at the registration desk or patrolling the hallways.

What’s to eat?
A coffee/tea and snack station will be by the registration area. Lunch will be set out in that area. You may eat outside or in the hallway. No foods in classrooms please. No alcohol on campus. There is a gift shop in the student center but the cafeteria will be closed. There are restaurants nearby. Google Maps shows locations. McShanes and Laurelwoods Golf Course have pubs. Amazon Parkway (just over the hill to the west of campus) has a number of bakeries and eateries.

Needs:
There will be a printer at the registration desk for incidental printing. PLEASE print your music ahead of time, as we won’t be able to print out lengthy pages for campers. There is an Office Max nearby for lengthier print needs.

Friday Jam-6 pm (or 6:30?)
The Friday jam will be hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 1978 Main Street in Springfield. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The public is invited to attend. You will have the opportunity to perform in our first public jam session. Please bring your music and a stand to the lodge. Saturday Jam-6 (?) Saturday jam at the Blue Door Theatre for students and instructors starts at 6:30 pm.

Sunday Recital 1 pm-3 pm
A final recital open to the public will be held in the main theatre at Lane Community College (just upstairs from our classrooms.) A reception will follow for instructors and students in the downstairs lobby area.
